Tributes are continuing to pour in after the body of a man believed to be from North Oxford was found by police on Thursday night.

Fraser Anderson, aged 24, was last seen on Wednesday morning at Squitchey Lane and police found what is believed to be his body in North Oxford on Thursday night.

Police first expressed concern for his whereabouts at 10pm on Wednesday after going missing since 7am that morning.

Outpourings and tributes to the young man have since began to pour through on social media.

Writing on Facebook Lisa Mergel said: “Awful news, rest in peace, condolences with the family.”

Gem Hedges said: “Rest in peace, thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends at this sad time.”

Maureen Alice Jamieson said: “So sad, my heart goes out to his family.”

Lydia Boodell said: “Very sad, prayers with him and his family.”

Daryl Askew Martin said: “So sad, I will keep him in my prayers.”

Writing on the Oxford Mail website Eyore wrote: “This is tragic. Rest in peace Fraser.

“Thoughts are with the family at this very sad time.”

Another, focussale95, also paid tribute and wrote: “I am hoping this is not Fraser.

“My heart and thoughts are with his family and I just sincerely hope he is still out there somewhere.”

Police said they are not treating the death as suspicious and his next of kin have been informed.
