THE town council in Witney will host a public meeting to discuss the planned closure of Deer Park Medical Centre.
The meeting will be held in the Corn Exchange at 6.30pm on Wednesday, October 26.
Those attending will have the opportunity to talk about the closure of the doctor's surgery, in Edington Square, and the potential impact on other surgeries in the town.
Last month it was announced that Deer Park Medical Centre, which has 4,400 registered patients, is to close in March 2017 after contract negotiations between Oxfordshire Clinical Commissioning Group, Virgin Care and other providers were unsuccessful.
Two petitions urging the CCG to retain the service have amassed more than 750 signatures.
