A man has been charged after a member of staff was assaulted at a petrol station in Witney.
Police said a 31-year-old was arrested following the incident in the Texaco Park View filling station in Burford Road at about 6am yesterday.
The member of staff was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital with head injuries.
Kevin Good, 31, of Bartlett Close, Witney, has been charged with one count of attempted robbery, one count of false imprisonment, one count of possession of a controlled drug of class A, one count of possession of a controlled drug of class B and one count of Section 18 wounding with intent.
He was remanded in custody and was due to appear at Banbury Magistrates’ Court today.
