A man has been killed after being struck by a train near Bicester North Station.

Bicester North Station has now reopened following earlier closures but Chiltern Railways said delays could continue until 1.30pm.

Emergency services are currently at the scene about half a mile south of the station.

British Transport Police spokeswoman Sarah Buxton said officers went to the scene at 8.20am this morning and found the man's body.

She said his death was not being treated as suspicious and that officers were working to identify him and inform his family.

South Central Ambulance Service spokesman David Gallagher said paramedics were called at 8.38am.

Trains from Bicester North were delayed due to the incident.

Chiltern Railways said passengers could use their tickets on Virgin Trains, London Midland, Great Western Railway, CrossCountry and the London Underground if their journey was disrupted.
