A FINAL appeal has been made to find the mother of a baby girl found dead on a cycle path in Marston before her funeral.
An inquest earlier today concluded the unknown baby girl - found by walkers on the path between University Parks and Marston - was still born.
A police investigation into her death has concluded after forensic pathologists found she had not led a "separate existence" from her mother.
Do you have any information about the mother?
An extensive hunt for the mother has proved fruitless but DS Kevin Parsons, speaking at the inquest, said there would be one final appeal ahead of the girl's funeral.
DS Parsons said it was likely the girl was of Indonesian or Filipino descent but could not be certain.
Desperate pleas to find the mother had resulted in police appealing to schools and hospitals in the area after the baby was found on February 29.
Oxfordshire coroner Darren Salter said the baby had been dumped by the path 1-3 days before being found and concluded an unascertained cause of death.
A date for funeral has yet to be confirmed.
