FIZZING potions, gooey slime producing and sweet making were all part of a special show at the Kidlington Centre.

The Sublime Science show included a series of unique and wacky experiments for children and parents to enjoy.

There were also opportunities for the young ones to get involved themselves, with 10-year-old Maz Earp getting a chance to check out the smoke bubbles blown by scientist Stephen Rhodes.

The centre's marketing manager Mary Perry said the event was a "great success".

She added: "We were absolutely thrilled with how the morning went.

"Sublime Science has been inspiring kids across the country and it is about time Kidlington got to see this phenomenon.

"There were lots of children which shows there is a desire for these kinds of community events in the village.

"This is the first event like this the centre has done and we want to hold more in the future."

Sublime Science founder Marc Wileman founded the business in 2008, and later received investment through the BBC show Dragons' Den.

The centre was also using the event on Friday to celebrate the opening of its latest store, bespoke sweet shop Box of Delights.
