EXPENSIVE mountain bikes were stolen from a shed in Botley over the weekend, according to Thames Valley Police.

Between 10pm on Saturday, July 30 and 10am on Sunday, July 31 thieves broke into a shed in Montagu Road and made off with the pair of high-value bikes.

The first was a distinctive orange and grey Sunn Kern 2, which is rare in the UK. The second was a black and white Giant Anthum 3 with a lot of black tape down the tube, chain protectors on both sides and a towing hitch. Both cost about £1,500.

Anyone who has seen any suspicious-looking people or vehicles in the area is asked to call police via 101.
