The banking group has announced this morning it will cut 3,000 jobs and 200 branches.

There are three branches in Oxford: London Road, Headington, Banbury Road in Summertown and the High Street.

The Harwell branch in Curie Avenue closed in June this year.

The group reported a £2.5bn profit for the half year to the end of June, compared with £1.2bn.

The lender braces for a cut in interest rates following Britain's decision to quit the European Union.

Almost 10 per cent of the Lloyds is still owned by the British taxpayer.

Currently there is a list on the bank's website detailing a list of branches it has already closed this year.
