CREWS from Eynsham Fire Station rushed to a Blackbird Leys residential care home this morning following reports of flooding.
At 7.27am staff at Longlands in Balfour Road, which specialises in dementia care, raised the alarm after water poured from a broken washing machine down a corridor and into the kitchens, as well as part of the car park at the back of the building. Aqua vacs were used to clear it.
Staff member Zarin Ghavarni said in the late morning that everything was "absolutely fine", adding: "We turned off the electricity to make sure everything was ok."
