A severe weather warning is in place for Wednesday through to Friday for heavy rain.
Following downpours yesterday Met Office forecasters say more wet weather could on the way.
The warning says: "Although many areas will probably miss them, scattered but potentially intense thundery downpours seem likely to affect parts of the warning area from late Wednesday and through Thursday.
"Please be aware of possible localised "medium" impacts from either flooding or frequent lightning."
The entire country has been hit by an unusually wet June this year – with bookies suspending betting on it being the wettest on record – and Oxfordshire has seen 31.4mm or rainfall to date this month.
That represents 62 per cent of the typical June rainfall for the county just over halfway through the month.
