On Friday night he was watched by millions on TV alongside Helena Bonham Carter but eleven-year-old Harry Webster said his next role as a hyena in his school's production of The Lion King - would be just as challenging.

The North Oxford schoolboy was thrown into his first acting role with heavyweights of the industry in BBC1's drama 'Love, Nina' - which airs on Fridays at 9.30pm.

The cricket-mad schoolboy was contractually obliged not to cut his hair throughout the filming and learnt the hard way not to eat too much spaghetti in the first take of a scene.

Next up for the child star is a part as a hyena in the Dragon School Year 6 production of The Lion King which he said was just as challenging as appearing on TV.

He said: "It's still acting so it's just the same really whether it's on TV or a school play.

"In fact you can make mistakes of things can go wrong on a TV programme not like a play."

"Love, Nina was a great experience and amazing to work with people like Helena and also Jason Watkins - the whole cast were really helpful and made me fit in."

Based on a best-selling memoir by Nina Stibbe, it tells the story of a young nanny who moves to North London in the 1980s to work for literary editor George, played by Helena Bonham Carter.

The boy from Old Marston plays the Harry Potter actress' son Max in the programme along with his on-screen brother Ethan Rouse.

The pair were both taking on their first acting roles and were enthusiastic to say the least.

He said: "There was this one scene where we both had to eat spaghetti.

"We started off at 9am taking huge mouthfuls but it took about 10-15 takes and Ethan ended up going out to be sick.

"Helena clearly knew from experience as she was taking a tiny mouthful.

He added: "I didn't learn though as later on I was eating a whole lamb almost every take."

On his return to school after the first episode's airing you might expect a furore in the playground.

But this is the Dragon School, a girl in his class has acted alongside Antonio Banderas and his friend Sebastian Croft - who has now left the school - stars in Game of Thrones.

The school's list of former pupils includes Emma Watson, Hugh Laurie and the bookies favourite to be the next James Bond Tom Hiddleston.

The eleven-year-old said the school's illustrious past inspired him to continue his career.

He said: "Tom Hiddleston is mentioned around school occasionally - I would love to play young James Bond actually if the books were made into films.

"But for the moment I'm auditioning to play Christopher Robin in a film about A.A Milne."

His mum Kim, who had to force the directors to remove the F word from her son's lines, said she was so proud of his achievements.

She said: "I was so proud of him and all the hard work he put in.

"It was six days a week on set and he had to do all his school work as well.

"He has taken his contract too seriously though and I think he wants to keep his hair long forever - but he will getting it cut soon."
