OXFORD
Malcolm Plaisted, 28, of Wynbush Road, Rose Hill, admitted stealing meat and cheese worth £30 belonging to the Co-Op in Rose Hill, on April 21 this year. Jailed for 12 weeks and ordered to pay £115 victim surcharge.

Stephen Ralph, 32, of no fixed abode, admitted stealing two jumpers worth £130 from Crew Clothing in Oxford on April 21 this year. Also admitted stealing eight shirts worth £170 belonging to GAP in Oxford on the same day. Handed a total jail sentence of six weeks suspended for 12 months. Also ordered to pay £170 compensation.

Lewis Smith, 35, of Westlands Drive, Northway, found guilty of having a Stanley blade in Bicester Village Shopping Centre, Pingle Drive, on November 15 last year. Handed a community order with 250 hours' unpaid work and ordered to pay a £60 victim surcharge and £750 costs.

William Grihault, 29, of Church End, South Leigh, near Witney, found guilty of assaulting Stacey Mildren by beating her in Newington, South Oxfordshire, on January 10 this year. Handed a community order and ordered to take part in a 31-day Building Better Relationships course and a rehabilitation activity requirement of up to 36 days. Also ordered to pay £100 compensation, a £60 victim surcharge and £750 costs.

Sean Jones, 53, of Luther Street, Oxford, admitted breaching a restraining order imposed by Oxford Magistrates' Court by entering an address in Palmer Road, Oxford, on December 23 last year. Also admitted failing to surrender to custody at Oxford Magistrates' Court on February 5 this year and April 18 this year. Handed a community order with a rehabilitation activity requirement for up to 20 days. Also fined £50 and ordered to pay a £60 victim surcharge.

Andrew Munt, 29, of Spenlove Close, Abingdon, admitted stealing £1,196.44 in cash belonging to Darren Fowler at an address in Ock Street, Abingdon, on March 16 this year. Handed a community order with 120 hours' unpaid work. Also ordered to pay £1,196.44 compensation, a £60 victim surcharge and £83 costs.

Jonathan Bradshaw, 35, of The Green South, Warborough, found guilty of wilfully damaging, topping or lopping a tree in a conservation area designated by South Oxfordshire District Council at his home on or before August 5 last year, in such a manner as would be likely to destroy it. Handed a £1,000 fine and ordered to pay £100 victim surcharge and £3,796.96 costs.

Rebecca Black, 42, of Medhurst Way, Rosehill, Oxford, admitted stealing two bottles of wine worth £15.04 from Mid Counties Co-operative, in Rose Hill, Oxford, on December 27 last year. Also admitted failing to stop in Rose Hill, Oxford, and driving without due care and attention. Also admitted driving without insurance. Fined £315.04 and ordered to pay £300 compensation, a £30 victim surcharge and £50 costs. Handed a 12-month driving ban.

Toni-Ann Williams, 18, of Oxford Road, Old Marston, admitted assaulting a constable in the execution of their duty in Hythe Bridge Street, Oxford, on April 10. Handed a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

BANBURY

Leslie Ballard, 61, of The Cottage, Milestone Farm, Broughton Road, Banbury, was convicted of speeding at 37mph in a 30mph zone in Main Road, Broughton, on February 27 last year. Fined £180 and ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge and £620 costs. Driving licence endorsed with three points.

Tonya Green, 37, of no fixed abode, admitted stealing clothing worth £215.40 from Primark, in Banbury, on April 4. Also admitted stealing food worth £332.60 from Tesco, in Banbury, on April 8. Handed a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay a £15 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Timothy Barton, 36, of Green Road, Didcot, admitted using a mobile while driving in Lower Broadway n July 14 last year. Fined £100 and ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Driving licence endorsed with three points.

Nancy Capes, 83, of Stratford Road, Wroxton, Banbury, admitted speeding at 38mph in a 30mph zone in Botley Road, Oxford, on May 21 last year. Fined £100 and ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Driving licence endorsed with three points.

David Fitzgerald, 67, of no fixed abode, admitted stealing alcohol worth £263.50 from Cromwell Lodge Public House, in North Bar Street, Banbury, on September 10 last year. Committed to prison for three months and ordered to pay an £80 victim surcharge.

David Hatton, 34, of Jubilee Court, Banbury, admitted stealing alcohol from stores between March 18 and April 23. Also admitted possessing diazepam, a class C drug, in Banbury on April 12. Also admitted failing to surrender to custody at Banbury Magistrates' Court on April 18 and entering Fiddes Payne Herbs and Spices Ltd, in Thorpe Way, Banbury, as a trespasser with intent to steal on April 19. Committed to prison for 24 weeks and ordered to pay an £80 victim surcharge.
