Fans of Radiohead have been left confused after the band erased their online presence.

It comes as fans also speculate over how - and when - the band will release their much-anticipated ninth album.

If you visited the band's website on Monday there would be only be a blank screen, and their Facebook and Twitter pages showed there had been no posts - with the latter only saying "@Radiohead hasn't tweeted yet".

The band's management company Courtyard Management previously said the new album would be released in June, but some fans have speculated on social media whether it could come sooner.

Some have even wondered whether it could come via an unexpected method of delivery, with fans receiving cards in the mail with the ban's bear logo and the words: "Sing the song of sixpence that goes 'Burn the witch'".

The band - started in Abingdon- have previously unveiled their music in unusual ways.

Previous album In Rainbows was initially sold online with fans invited to pay any price they chose to download the songs.
