Police are looking for witnesses after an 18-year-old man was stabbed in Blackbird Leys.

The man was attacked following an argument with two men on Druce Way at about 3.50pm on April 17.

He was taken to the John Radcliffe hospital where he was treated for a puncture wound to his back but has since been discharged.

Families in Druce Way said police had cordoned off one end of the road for about three hours on the Sunday.

One resident, who asked to remain anonymous, said: "I saw two cars, a police dog and a van right at the end of the road on the corner.

"They were here for hours but it's not a hive of activity."

Another said he believed the incident had occurred in an alleyway at the end of the road, adding: "There has been a stabbing here before. So much goes on, it's unbelievable."

Up to four people are believed to have been involved in the incident.

Police said the first offender was a black man in his twenties.

He had a broad frame and was about 6ft 1ins, wore a grey hood over his head with the hood pulled tight to his face.

He wore a black bomber style jacket, grey tracksuit bottoms and Nike air force trainers.

He was believed to be from the London area due to his accent.

Police said the second offender is a black man, with black hair, also in his twenties.

He was clean shaven and also spoke with a London accent. He wore a dark blue bomber jacket and blue jeans.

He was around 5ft 9ins and of smaller build in comparison to the first man.

Anyone who witnessed this incident and has information for the police investigation is asked to contact Det Con Stuart Carey from Oxford CID on 101.

Two 16 year olds and a 15-year-old from Oxford have been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent and are on police bail until 5 June.
