WITNESSES are being sought after a series of thefts in Wahoo Bar, Oxford.
Thieves stole ten mobile phones from victims in the nightclub between midnight and 3am on Thursday. April 21.
This included eight iPhones, one Samsung and one HTC phone in addition to a passport and a driving licence.
Investigating officer, Sgt Graham Horton based at St Aldates police station said: "Following these mobile phone thefts, which we believe were pre-planned, from customers attending the Wahoo night club, we are requesting that members of the public pay particular attention to the security of their mobile phones.
"Any suspicious behaviour should be reported to the venue security in the first instance. If your phone has just been stolen and the suspect is still in the area call police on 999.
"If your phone has been stolen and the suspect is no longer in the area, report it by calling 101, the non-emergency police number.
“People are naturally distracted in busy environments such as cafes, bars and night clubs, making it easier for thieves to target their victims."
