A FIRE engine ended up in a ditch today after it lost control on the A361 near Chipping Norton.
The truck was carrying six firemen at the time but was not on a call when it came off the road near the turning for Great Tew.
Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman Chris Birdsall said: "A fire engine lost control on a bend and went into a hedge.
"There were six people on the truck at the time but nobody was injured.
"The truck - from Deddington - was not on a job and was coming back from Chipping Norton after providing cover.
"Another truck has been brought to Deddington to provide cover."
It happened about 11.20am.
