Two vehicles have been involved in a collision near the Golden Balls roundabout at Nuneham Courtenay.

The crash has happened this morning on the B4015 between the roundabout and Chiselhampton.

The accident has caused delays of about 20 minutes on the A329 for drivers heading to Stadhampton.

South Central Ambulance spokesman David Gallagher said one car went into a ditch.

He added: "Fire crews helped a woman out of the car after her legs got trapped. She was not seriously injured."

Another accident, involving a motorbike, has been reported at Langford Lane, Kidlington, between the A4260 Banbury Road and A44 Woodstock Road.

South Central Ambulance spokesman David Gallagher said: "We were called at 07.39 to reports of patient who had come off his motorbike as he approached a set of traffic lights.

"We sent an ambulance but the rider was just assessed and treated at the scene – he didn’t require hospital treatment."

With temperatures remaining at about -3C there are icy conditions on the roads and patches of ice and fog and Oxfordshire County Council has warned drivers to take extra care.

There has been fog around junction nine of the M40 at Wendlebury and ice between Bampton and Curbridge.

Problems with the traffic lights have been reported between Peartree and Wolvercote, causing delays for drivers turning right into Peartree park-and-ride.
