POLICE are expected to stand guard over flats in Thornhill Walk for the rest of the weekend as investigations into the shooting of Kerry Reeves continue.

The move comes as Thames Valley Police local policing area commander for South and Vale Supt Jim O’Ryan thanked residents for their patience as police inquiries continued.

He said: “Obviously our thoughts are very much with Kerry’s family and friends, and specially trained officers are continuing to support Kerry’s family during this harrowing time.

“While two people have been charged with murder, officers continue to investigate the circumstances leading up to Kerry’s death. This has resulted in a number of searches in and around the town.”

TVP spokeswoman Charlotte Redman said yesterday that police had still not yet found a weapon after searches were carried out in Boxhill Park, Abingdon, earlier this week.

It is understood police are still keen to talk to a woman spotted sitting in a white vehicle in Thornhill Walk around the time of the shooting.

Billy Johnson, aged 20, from Ripon Court, Corby, and Charles Noble, aged 20, from Kempton Avenue, Northolt, Ealing, have been charged with murder and will appear at Oxford Crown Court on Monday.
