STAFF at a Blackbird Leys nursery are celebrating two glowing Ofsted reports in a row.

The Co-operative Childcare centre in Cuddesdon Way, which currently has 83 youngsters on its roll, received a ‘good’ rating by the inspection body after a visit in August.

Following an inspection in 2013 when the nursery was rated inadequate in all areas, staff have worked hard to achieve the good rating in both subsequent inspections.

In the new report, consistently strong teaching as well as bright, stimulating facilities were praised by inspector Fran Fielder.

The nursery now features energy-efficient technology including solar panels and a rain water harvester, as well as an enclosed garden and covered play area.

Manager Jo Titcombe said: “We’re very proud to have achieved such praise from Ofsted and the achievement reflects the hard work from all our colleagues to provide top quality childcare at the nursery.

“We continue to maintain our high standards and implement Ofsted feedback on ways in which we can make the nursery even better.

“We’ve got a great team who work with both the children and their parents to make each child’s learning experience a dedicated and fulfilling one. We’ll continue to support our little people as they learn through play.”
