POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a spate of burglaries in the Bicester area targeting jewellery, phones and laptops.

The first raid took place between 2pm and 9.45pm on Tuesday, September 29, when burglars forced their way into a home in Lapwing Close, Bicester, through the back door.

A number of items of jewellery including a blue sapphire ring, a chain with a pearl, a Pandora bracelet, a Fossil watch, a Links of London watch, iPhones, an Acer laptop and an iPad were stolen.

A black BMW was spotted around the area at about 7.40pm, the force said.

Between 3pm and 5pm the same day raiders broke into Newton Morrell Farm, near Bicester, through a window and stole jewellery including a gold necklace, an engagement ring, a Pandora bracelet, a DKNY watch and a Lacoste watch and perfume.

The next day a watch, a Temperley handbag, an iPad and a platinum wedding band were stolen from a home in Corncrake Way, Bicester, after burglars smashed the kitchen window.

PC Nathan Davis asks witnesses who saw anything suspicious to call him.

He said: “We appeal to anyone who may have heard or seen suspicious behaviour to get in contact.

“If you saw any suspicious vehicles or the black BMW please let us know.”
