TWO schoolchildren made the most of a rainy day by having a whale of a time at an Oxford museum.
Eight-year-olds Harris Pearce Bates and Maddi Hall from Bicester, pictured, enjoyed an afternoon of making whales and exploring dinosaurs at the Oxford University Museum of Natural History.
The craft session and subsequent trails through the museum were all part of the summer holiday fun.
Harris said: “Because it was a rainy day me and my friend Maddi from school went out to Oxford.
“There was not much to do so we went to the dinosaur museum.
“It was fun making the whales and we also went on a hunt for dinosaurs and on a trail in the museum.”
While the whale fun was a one-off, the trail – which includes things to see, hear and touch – can still be explored until Monday.
