BULL terriers and cocker spaniels were among the perfect pooches in line to be judged by residents at a Yarnton care home.
Friends and family were invited to bring along their dogs to Yarnton Residential and Nursing Home, on Rutten Lane, to treat residents to a day outdoors enjoying tea and biscuits.
People at Sanctuary home were then asked to judge their four-legged friends.
92-year-old Joe Dean was visited at the centre by daughter Jan Wheatfill, granddaughter Michelle Wheatfill, great-granddaughter Sophie with their dogs, a whippet and a border terrier.
Former pet shop owner Mr Dean, who suggested the event, after he moved into the home from Devon two weeks ago, said: “ I really enjoyed it and it was nice to see all of the different breeds.”
