Permission granted for Lodge Burlesque Club in Oxford to open longer
THE owner of the Lodge Burlesque Club has been granted a licence to extend its opening hours.
Members of the Oxford City Council licensing and gambling acts casework sub-committee passed the application at a meeting tonight.
The club in Penny Farthing Place off St.Ebbes will now be allowed to provide late night entertainment, refreshments and alcohol until 3.30am Sunday to Wednesday and 5am from Thursday to Saturday.
At the meeting, which was held at Oxford Town Hall, councillor Dee Sinclair said: "It seems as if what you have provided will not add to the general mayhem that can ensue.
"It seems as if you are being responsible."
