THESE dancers will be body-popping while country hopping as they travel to Germany.

The members of Oxford-based dance crew Ajos Dance will be heading to Bonn as part of the city’s twinning celebrations from May 27 to May 31.

The group is a social enterprise that looks to bring together people from sometimes excluded communities – such as LBGT, older adults, people with disabilities and ethnic minorities – through dance and the arts.

Founding director JJ Formento said: “We are excited about representing the diversity and dynamism of dance in Oxford at the festivity programme at Bonn, Germany.

“As a newly registered charity, Ajos Dance champions community cohesion through dance, however, we are urgently in need of funding and financial support to cover our travel costs, which will amount to approximately £500.”

There are seven members of the dance crew travelling to Bonn, which include three youth Beat Street dancers from Oxford: Serega Kundik, 18; Carl Monzon, 17; and Ben Tracey, 17.

Ajos Dance’s Just Giving target is £500.
