RUNNERS will start and finish at St Giles for the first time during this year's Vitality Half Marathon.
At a press conference held at the Martyrs' Memorial in St Giles today race organiser Jamie Warren from GO2 Events announced the new route.
Mr Warren added that this year's race, held on Sunday October 11, will for the first time see Brooks as sportswear sponsors so all participants will get a free Brooks T-shirt.
Jamie Warren, 33, said: "The big announcement is that we have changed the route.
"Last year it started and finished at the Kassam stadium but now it will start and finish at St Giles."
Fundraising manager Anna Fowler from charity Macmillan said they were hoping to surpass last years raised total of £17,000 at this years half marathon with help from the new route.
