A pensioner from Greater Leys has been ordered to pay back more than £77,300 after admitting benefit fraud.
Veronica Knibbs, 75, was sentenced to a 12-month community order and told to do 150 hours’ unpaid work in January.
The court heard that between June 2000 and May 2014, she pocketed £85,294.18 and this month the courts decided how much she should pay back.
Miss Knibbs, of Nightingale Avenue, was ordered to pay £44,696.01 to Oxford City Council, £14,439.97 to West Oxfordshire District Council, and £4,304 in legal costs.
