A bomb disposal squad was called to a Botley home today when a gardener thought he had dug up an unexploded shell.
Soldiers from 621 Explosives Ordnance Disposal Squadron from London's RAF Northolt base travelled to the house in Pinnocks Way after the owner called police at 10.21am.
But Ministry of Defence spokesman Chris Fletcher said the call turned out to be a false alarm.
