HOW come there's always a queue when you are in a hurry to catch your bus?

That thought must have passed through these commuters' heads as they waited patiently to buy their tickets at the old Killermont Street bus station in Glasgow.

The first bus station was opened on the site in 1934 for use by Alexander, Central SMT and Scottish Omnibuses, serving travellers going to the north and east of the city.

The station closed 1976 with all services moving to Buchanan Street. Today, the old platforms are buried beneath the Royal Concert Hall and Buchanan Galleries.
