WARM weather has led to spring flowers blooming at Oxford’s Botanic Garden and brought out the bees and birds.
Botanic horticultural trainee Virginia Vargo said there had been a noticeable change in the garden off High Street following sunny spells at the weekend and early this week.
The 33-year-old, who lives in Middleton Stoney near Bicester, said: “The daffodils and crocuses are looking lovely – the warm weather is having a positive effect.
“I have also noticed a few bees buzzing around and there is more activity from the birds too. I get robins following me around when I am working, which is nice. Now the weather is getting warmer we are hoping for lots more visitors.”

Ms Vargo said visitors could also enjoy an exhibition by artist Patrice Moor, which runs until April. Visit oxford-botanic.ox.ac.uk for further information.
