CITY councillor Rae Humberstone is set to become the next Lord Mayor of Oxford.
On Monday, city council leader Bob Price announced that Labour councillor Mr Humberstone, the current Sheriff, would take up the role later in the year.
Mr Humberstone is one of the city councillors for the Blackbird Leys ward.
He will take over from Oxford’s Mohammed Abbasi.
Labour councillor Colin Cook will be his deputy, and Labour councillor Sajjad Malik will become Sheriff of Oxford.
