A COMPUTER technician accused of sexually abusing a 14-year-old girl told a jury he did not "see anything harmful" in sharing a bed with his alleged victim.

Joseph Tsang, of Sandy Lane, Blackbird Leys in Oxford, denies three counts of engaging in sexual activity with a child and two counts of causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity on November 24, 2012.

The 31-year-old has also pleaded not guilty to one count of making indecent images of children.

Yesterday he was cross examined at Oxford Crown Court and repeatedly denied any sexual contact with the alleged victim in the case, who cannot be named for legal reasons.

Tsang admitted he was sexually attracted to the girl, and she did spend a night with him in his bed, but insisted nothing inappropriate happened between them.

Prosecutor Michael Roques asked him: "Why didn't you go and sleep on the sofa?"

Tsang replied: "I definitely would have done now.

"I think you can find someone attractive and still have the sense to know that is not happening."

The barrister said: "Why did you take the risk?"

Tsang said: "Because I can answer for myself that nothing happened."

He added: "I didn't see anything harmful to it. I didn't predict two years later I would be in court."

Tsang is on bail and the trial continues.
