THERE’s still time to catch one more pantomime before the season closes, as West Oxford Pantomime Association gears up for Robin Hood.

The community actors will perform the story of the heroic outlaw from January 22 to 24, in the West Oxford Community Centre in Botley Road.

The association has put on a different festive show each year since being set up in 2011.

This year’s play has been written by Alison Stibbe, from Harley Road, who will play Robin. Organiser Steve Jones, 48, of Cripley Road, is playing Sir Guy of Gisborne and daughter Annabel, 12, will play a fairy. The father-of-two said: “This is the fourth one we have done now and they are always really great fun.

“A lot of people in the area get involved and give up their time to help make it happen, it’s very much a local project and it always goes down very well.”

Tickets are still available for the performances on Thursday and Friday, and can be bought at convenience shop Eggs Eggsetera, in Botley Road.

Money from ticket sales goes towards paying for the show, with profits set aside for the next year.
