A pensioner was badly injured when he was attacked in his car by a motorcyclist in Cutteslowe, police said.
The victim, 72, was turning right out of Carlton Road at about 4.30pm on Tuesday when he was overtaken by a motorcyclist.
During the manoeuvre the motorcycle and the car collided.
Police said the motorcyclist then dismounted, approached the man’s car and opened the door.
He allegedly punched the driver causing a cut and severe bruising to his face.
The victim was taken to Oxford’s John Radcliffe Hospital for treatment and has since been discharged.
Police are appealing for witnessses.
