HISTORY buffs are invited to step back in time as a Cowley Museum takes part in a national campaign this month.

Staff at Oxfordshire History Centre, in Temple Road, will be joining the Explore Your Archive initiative to raise awareness of its archives.

The centre, which is run by Oxfordshire County Council, is encouraging residents to get involved with the scheme.

County council cabinet member for cultural services Lorraine Lindsay-Gale said: “This national event seems like the perfect opportunity for people in Oxfordshire to delve into the history of their family, house or locality.”
