Organisers said about 300 people took part in a protest against the culling of badgers in Oxford on Saturday.

The protest – supported by Care for the Wild and the Badger Trust – started at 1pm at the Radcliffe Camera, in Radcliffe Square.

Speakers included chief executive of the trust Dominic Dyer, Peter Martin from Gloucestershire Against Badger Shooting and a spokesman from the Somerset Badger Patrol.
