OXFORD MAGISTRATES.

  1. Robert Pyne, 40, of Lake Street, Oxford, admitted stealing six bottles of alcohol from a Co-op store in Templars Square Shopping Centre, Pound Way, Cowley, on October 15. Also admitted committing a further offence while subject to a suspended sentence made by Oxford Magistrates’ Court on September 16 for attempted theft. Given a six-week prison sentence because of his prolific record of similar offending and he was subject to a suspended sentence and community order at the time. Also told to pay an £80 victims’ surcharge.
  2. Simon Bonfani, 32, of Temple Road, Oxford, admitted an assault by beating at Wick Farm, Barton Village Road, Barton, Oxford, on July 14. Community order made with a 40-hour unpaid work requirement. Restraining order made banning contact with his victim. Told to pay a £60 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
  3. Anthony Sexton, 25, of Stowford Road, Barton, Oxford, was convicted of causing criminal damage to household items in Knights Road, Oxford, on May 27. Given a 12-week prison sentence because there was a significant amount of damage and emotional distress caused, and it was a revenge attack. Restraining order made banning contact with his victim. Told to pay £1,000 compensation.
  4. Claire Gill, 37, of Cowley Road, Oxford, was convicted of handling a stolen Rockhopper mountain bike worth £650 in Oxford on July 1. Also admitted failing to surrender to the custody of Oxford Magistrates’ Court on October 15. Community order made with drug rehabilitation requirement and supervision requirement for six months. Told to pay a £60 victims’ surcharge and £100 costs.
  5. Kane Gaskell, 23, of Croft Road, Marston, admitted an assault by beating on June 15 in Cornmarket Street, Oxford. Fined £200 and told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
  6. Jake Carter, 32, of Inott Furze, Headington, Oxford, admitted driving at 57mph on a road with a 30mph speed limit in Cuddesdon Road, Horspath, Oxford, on March 28. Fined £200 and told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Given six points on driving licence.
  7. James Dawe, 24, of Gladstone Road, Headington, was convicted of driving at 58mph on a road with a 50mph speed limit on the A4142 on February 10. Fined £200 and told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Given three points on driving licence.
  8. Darren Goodwill, 35, of no fixed address, admitted possessing cocaine, a Class A drug, in Rooks Lane, Thame, on September 27. Fined £400 and told to pay a £40 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
  9. Lee Jones, 35, of Barretts Way, Sutton Courtenay, near Abingdon, admitted drink-driving in High Street, Milton, on September 27. Had 75 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35 micrograms. Given a three-year driving ban and told to pay a £75 fine, a £20 victims’ surcharge and £40 costs. Also admitted stealing food worth £44.30 from BP Services in Milton on September 9. Given a six-month conditional discharge.
  10. Tanisha Macklin-Carr, 19, of Iffley Road, Oxford, admitted an assault by beating in St Clement’s Street, Cowley, Oxford, on August 28. Community order made with four-day restorative justice requirement and three-month supervision requirement. Told to pay £50 compensation and a £60 victims’ surcharge.
  11. Nadeem Qadir, 32, of no fixed address, admitted driving without insurance and driving without a licence in The Street, Moulsford, Wallingford, on March 28. Given a six-month driving ban and fined £300. Also told to pay a £30 victims’ surcharge and £100 costs.
  12. Christopher Bloore, 21, of Spey Road, Abingdon, admitted driving without a licence, driving without insurance, driving while disqualified and failing to stop for a police officer on September 26 in Colwell Drive and Copenhagen Drive, Abingdon. Given a 12-month driving ban and made subject to a community order with 250-hour unpaid work requirement. Also told to pay a £200 fine, a £60 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
  13. Ronald Carter, 69, of Church Path, Stanford in the Vale, admitted failing to provide a specimen for analysis when required and suspected of committing an offence at Abingdon Police Station, Colwell Drive, Abingdon, on September 26. Fined £300 and told to pay a £30 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Given an eight-month driving ban.
  14. Richard Davis, 23, of Bernwood Road, Oxford, admitted an assault by beating in Blacksmiths Meadow, Oxford, on June 17. Community order made with 90-day domestic violence programme requirement and 24-month supervision requirement. Restraining order made banning contact with victim and told to pay a £60 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
  15. Stephen Horwood, 34, of Green Hill, Oxford, admitted failing to provide a specimen for analysis when required and suspected of committing an offence at Abingdon Police Station, Colwell Drive, on September 28. Also admitted an assault with intent to resist arrest in Blackbird Leys Road, Oxford, on September 28. Community order made with 100-hour unpaid work requirement and told to pay £50 compensation, a £60 victims’ surcharge and £35 costs. Driving licence endorsed with 10 penalty points.
  16. Talel Bouazzi, 29, of Cricket Road, Oxford, admitted criminal damage to a car handle on August 17 in Woodstock Road, Oxford. Given a six-month conditional discharge and told to pay £55 compensation, victims’ surcharge of £15 and £85 costs.
  17. Lukasz Kobus, 28, of Fanshawe Place, Oxford, admitted drink-driving in Oxpens Road, Oxford, on September 29. Had 93 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above the limit of 35 micrograms. Given a 24-month driving ban and told to do 120 hours of unpaid work plus pay victims’ surcharge of £60 and £100 costs.
  18. Rakesh Singh, 18, of Elder Way, Oxford, admitted possessing 4.5g of cannabis, a Class B drug, on April 12 in New Road, Oxford. Given a six-month conditional discharge and told to pay a victims’ surcharge of £15 and £40 costs.
  19. Mark Cooper, 37, of Windrush Tower, Knights Road, Oxford, admitted using or threatening to use unlawful violence towards another person on May 4. Community order made with 120-hour unpaid work requirement and told to pay a £60 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
