A man who brandished two weapons and kicked his ex partner’s door in has been jailed.

John Webb, of Kynaston Way, Didcot, admitted common assault and two counts of possessing offensive weapons in High Street, Chalgrove, during the night of March 22.

Oxford Crown Court heard he was brandishing a claw hammer and a scaffolding pole in the street.

Yesterday he was handed a seven-month prison sentence and told to pay a £100 victims’ surcharge.
