PUPILS and staff past and present celebrated the 60th anniversary of St Nicholas’ Primary School in Old Marston at a diamond jubilee event yesterday.

Every student made a diamond hat to wear to a street party thrown by the school, and former pupils were able to reminisce about their own school days thisisoxfordshire:

Alan Longford, 61, who went to St Nicholas’ more than 50 years ago, said: “It was a lovely occasion for the children and it was great to look through all the old photos from my time at the school, which has changed a lot since my day, mostly for the better.”
