A CITY centre road is closed after a sewer collapsed.
Flooding from the sewer was reported by Balliol College, Thames Water said.
Magdalen Street East southbound, between Beaumont Street, St Giles and Broad Street, will be closed until July 9.
Thames Water spokesman Matthew Knowles said: "It is a 6m section which has collapsed which has caused some internal flooding to Balliol College. Normal traffic will not be affected by the closure as it just affects the bus and taxi route.
"We apologise for any inconvenience caused and we expect it to take 10 to 11 days to fix, but until we get down there we won’t know the extent of the damage."
Bus routes will be affected and diverted through Parks Road and Broad Street.
