A Marston couple have lodged an appeal over a building in their garden which council chiefs said could be used as a home.
Christian and Kamna Pruvost, of Windsor Crescent, were refused planning permission for the building in October.
Oxford City Council then served an enforcement notice in April demanding they remove windows and a shower room, saying this could allow it to be used as a home.
The couple said the building is for their teenage daughter to do her homework in and have appealed to the Planning Inspectorate.
