A 55-YEAR-OLD man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after the body of a man was found at an address in Oxford.
Thames Valley Police said officers were called at 9.15am to a property in South Bridge Row in the city centre to concern for the welfare of a man at the property.
The force - treating the death as unexplained - said: “Emergency services attended and a man, believed to be in his thirties, was found deceased.”
Senior Investigating Officer Det Ch Insp Gill Wootton said: “This case is in the very early stages of investigation and we are working to establish the exact circumstances around this unexplained death.”
“In order to investigate fully there is visible police presence at the scene, however, I would like to reassure the public that there is no danger to the wider community at this time.”
Anyone with information should call 101 and speak to the Oxford duty inspector or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
