AN ELECTRICTY fault left more than 1,000 homes in Oxford without power this morning.
Southern Electric spokeswoman Lisa Marchi said the fault occurred shortly before 10.30am and affected 1,427 customers in the OX1 and OX2 postcode areas.
By 1.45pm, 361 homes were still to have their power restored.
Power had been restored to all those affected by 3.40pm.
Investigations into the fault have now suggested it was related to an underground cable.
