YOUNGSTERS with brain and spinal tumours met up for a special event in Oxford over the weekend.
They took part in a wide range of activities aimed at adolescents at the Oxsrad sports and leisure centre in Marston on Sunday.
It was organised by Friends of OSCAR, a Didcot-based charity which supports children with brain and spinal tumours and their families.
Sixteen-year-old Hayley Wilkinson from Reading, who was diagnosed with a benign brain tumour in 2000, was one of those who took part.
She said: “It helps us understand people’s problems and improve ours because we know other people are struggling too.
“I couldn’t cope without OSCAR.”
