NURSES have backed a campaign to urge staff to speak out safely about poor practice.
Nuffield Health’s Manor Hospital in Headington has signed up to the initiative as part of International Nurses Day today.
Matron at the hospital, Karen Armeanu, said of the Speak Out Safely campaign: “Nurses are at the forefront of medical care in hospitals and have a responsibility to flag up any incidents which they believe might be detrimental to the care of their patients.
“There is no place for this within Oxford’s Nuffield, nor in any modern healthcare setting.”
