CYCLISTS will put their pedals to the test in a charity cycle ride taking in the entire length of Ireland.
Mark Crick, 44, and Neil Barson, 45, are set to leave Oxfordshire for a 466-mile ride in June to raise money for the Sobell House Hospice in Headington.
The friends will leave on Friday, June 6, to travel from Mizen Head in County Cork to Malin Head in Donegal.
The route is set to take them four-and-a-half days and they will be helped along the way by Steve Davidson, the landlord of the Fox Inn in Denchworth.
Mr Crick said: “We’re both in our mid-40s and we both wanted to keep fit. I wanted to do a challenge to get back to peak fitness.
“The training is going really well. We are excited and I do like a challenge.”
The pair have raised more than £2,500 so far through events at the pub.
