WALTON Street in Oxford will reopen tomorrow, Oxfordshire County Council has said.
Workmen have been repairing the hole, which appeared at the southern end of the street on Sunday.
Thames Water had inspected the hole on Tuesday and found no problems with the sewers in the area.
Since Wednesday the road has been closed to traffic.
The county council says the hole could have been caused by "erosion below the road surface".
Spokesman Paul Smith the road is now expected to reopen tomorrow afternoon.
