Walton Street shut in both directions because of hole in the road
WALTON Street in Jericho has been shut in both directions today while investigations continue into why a hole appeared in the road.
The hole opened up on Monday blocking traffic southbound.
But Oxfordshire County Council closed the road in both directions today from Worcester Place to Beaumont Street.
Spokesman Sam Henry said the decision was made for safety reasons while investigations into the reason for the collapse continue.
