Exeter College tomorrow celebrates its 700th anniversary with a procession through the city to kick off a weekend of events.
The 10.45am procession will be led by the Chancellor of Oxford University, Lord Patten, from the college to the Sheldonian Theatre, where there will be talks on its history.
In the afternoon there will be a birthday tea with a giant cake built in the shape of the college. Weekend events include a series of lectures and seminars on its history and students up to the present day.
Around 1,150 guests are expected to attend the events.
