SUMMERTOWN Library has been hosting a series of bird sculptures so successful that two have managed to fly away.
The Wild and Arcane exhibition by artist Ama Menec, in the Turrill Sculpture Garden in South Parade, consists of animal sculptures, some of which have now been moved to the Natural History Museum, including a buzzard and a red kite.
Ms Menec said: “I am passionate about the need for wilderness and the plight of Britain’s endangered animals. My animal sculptures and wall plaques focus primarily on threatened species in the UK.”
Exhibition coordinator from the garden Katherine Shock said: “We will be sad to see them go, but there are lots of other beautiful friezes and sculptures to enjoy.”
The exhibition runs to April 26.
