ESTATE residents are being asked what they think about living where they do.

About 2,000 people living in areas including Barton, Wood Farm, Rose HIll and Cutteslowe, are being urged to complete the Quality of Life Survey.

Oxford City Council says the results of the new annual survey will be used by the authority to get an insight into life in the neighbourhoods and to understand what people think about themselves, their neighbourhood, local services and priorities. The results will be used to help plan changes over the next two years.

Steve Curran, council board member for Youth and Communities, said: “The survey results will give officers the ability to track changes and improve the quality of life in the neighbourhoods of Oxford. It will also help in giving the residents a voice in what is important to them in their local area.” The survey has been compiled by the city council, Oxfordshire Healthwatch, and Oxford University Careers Service.

More than 5,500 surveys will be delivered through doors on the estates and council officers will be available to chat to residents at events.

The officers will be at Blackbird Leys Community Centre from 10.30am to 1pm and the Wood Farm Community Cafe from noon to 2pm on Wednesday, Templars Square Shopping Centre, Cowley on Thursday from 10am to 4pm, Barton Neighbourhood Centre from 10am to noon on Saturday, and Cutteslowe Community Centre on Monday from 3.30pm to 4.30pm.
